Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an ICU position in Kennewick, WA, requiring at least 1 year of ICU experience and AHA-issued BLS and ACLS certifications.
Details
- 13-week contract at a 111-bed acute care teaching hospital located in Kennewick, WA, serving the Tri-Cities area
- 2nd floor ICU unit with 14 beds
- Medical ICU with minimal cardiac focus; patient population includes sepsis, respiratory, some cardiac, and trauma cases
- Patient ratio of 1:2 with a charge nurse who is free of patient assignment
- IABP used occasionally on the unit
- EHR: Paragon
- Night shift: 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM (12.5-hour shifts)
- Every other weekend required
- No on-call requirements
- Block schedules are not permitted
Requirements
- Active WA state or compact RN license required
- Current AHA-issued certifications: BLS and ACLS
- Minimum 1 year of ICU experience required
- Social Security number required for consideration
- Date of birth required for consideration
- Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to qualify for the travel rate
Additional Information
- Medical ICU experience preferred; TNCC certification is a plus
- Ideal candidate thrives in a team-oriented environment and holds themselves and colleagues accountable to best practices
- Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
- Candidates who are employed full-time elsewhere are not eligible to apply

This Cath Lab is only travelers at the moment and has locum doctors on rotation. Some days are very slow but there is also a couple IR doctors who does some easy procedures.

On call is currently 7 consecutive days on then you get 4 days off before going back on due to number of staff present.
