Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Neuro Transplant ICU position requiring Level 1 trauma and neuro experience, working night shifts at a hospital in Oklahoma City, OK
Details
- Neuro Transplant ICU unit within a hospital setting
- Patient population includes neurological and transplant cases ranging from simple to complex acuity
- Level 1 trauma experience required for this unit
- Night shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours/week)
- All BLS and ACLS certifications must be issued by the American Heart Association (AHA)
Requirements
- Active RN license (Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or eNLC compact license) currently in hand
- Required certifications: BLS and ACLS (both from AHA only)
- NIHSS certification preferred
- Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required
- Level 1 trauma experience required
- Neuro ICU experience required
- Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program required; BSN preferred
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to respond effectively to the cultural and language needs of patients and visitors
- Basic computer skills required
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include assuming care for an assigned patient group, monitoring and documenting physiological data, administering medications, managing IV infusions and blood products, and delegating tasks to support staff
- Candidate must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible — local candidates are not accepted
- Candidates who have previously worked at this facility must have a 6-month separation period before being eligible for a new contract (prior travelers may only extend once, for a total of 26 weeks)
- Compliance with onboarding requirements (drug screen, background check, medical requirements) must be completed promptly — the facility does not allow delayed start dates due to non-compliance
- Full Date of Birth (DOB) is required for consideration
