Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Interventional Radiology position requiring at least 2 years of experience, Epic proficiency, and ACLS/BLS certifications.

Details

Position is based in an Interventional Radiology unit within a hospital setting
Cath lab experience is preferred, but IR-only experience will be considered
Procedures include cardiac catheterization, STEMI response, EP lab, biopsies (GI, GU/Renal), peripheral vascular interventions, and stent placement
Required skills include blood/blood products administration, cardioversion/defibrillation, cooling/warming blanket use, 12-lead EKG acquisition, and syringe pump operation
Schedule is days, 4x10-hour shifts (7:00–19:30)
On-call requirement of at least one weekday and one weekend per month; additional days possible based on staffing needs
Shift length may vary between 8 or 10 hours depending on staffing
Epic EMR experience required
Travelers are expected to float between all facilities within the state

Requirements

Active WA state RN license or a compact RN license currently in hand
Current ACLS and BLS certifications required
Minimum 2 years of Interventional Radiology or Cath Lab RN experience required
Epic EMR proficiency required
At least 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting required for consideration
SSN and DOB required for consideration

Additional Information

First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
Former permanent staff of any Providence/Swedish facility must have been separated for at least 3 months before returning as a traveler, and must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
Minimal RTO is expected; excessive time-off requests may negatively impact the process
Any RTO or scheduling requests must be disclosed at the time of submission — requests made after submission or offer may be denied
Refusal to float between state facilities may result in assignment termination
