Description
American Traveler is hiring a dual Cath/IR Technologist with at least 1-2 years of experience in interventional radiology and cardiac procedures for a Magnet, Level 1 Trauma teaching hospital in Washington state.
Details
- This is a dual Cath Lab and Interventional Radiology (IR) role in a Magnet-designated, Level 1 Trauma academic teaching hospital
- Daily caseload covers 4 angio suites and 2 ORs
- Procedures include neuro interventions (stroke, coils, AVMs, diagnostic cerebrals), cardiac (STEMI, PCI, diagnostic), vascular (run-offs, TEVAR, EVAR), and body interventions (CVCs, drains, embolizations)
- Charting via Epic (preferred, not required)
- 4x10 hour shifts with variable days of the week including weekends and variable start times
- Schedule is posted in advance on the 15th of each month
- Some weeks may require 8 or 10 hour shift coverage
- On-call is required with approximately 4-5 call shifts per month
- Weekend availability is required
- No floating to sister facilities required
Requirements
- Minimum 1-2 years of Cath/IR experience required; at least 2 travel assignments beyond initial hospital placement preferred
- ARRT certification required
- Active WA Rad Tech license required; pending state license considered
- Teaching hospital and trauma hospital experience preferred
- COVID vaccination and booster required with no exceptions
- License required if applicable
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Local candidates are accepted with no radius restriction
- RTO may not be requested during orientation week and should be kept to a minimum; no more than 6 days of RTO per contract
- Former staff of the UW/Harborview system must have been separated from the facility for at least 18 months before returning as a traveler
- Facility scrubs are provided
- Parking is available onsite (fee applies) or at an offsite garage approximately 1 mile away with shuttle service Monday–Friday, 5 AM–10 PM (weekdays only, not available nights, weekends, or holidays)
