Description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with 3+ years of experience for a NICU day shift position at an acute care hospital in Fort Smith, AR.

• NICU setting at a 336-bed acute care hospital in Fort Smith, AR
• Day shift, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• 36 hours per week
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call requirements
• No floating required
• 13-week contract
• EMR: Epic

Requirements

• Active RRT credential; graduate of an AMA-approved Respiratory Care program with an Associate degree
• Active Arkansas state license required if applicable
• BLS and NRP required
• Minimum 3 years of experience in Respiratory Therapy, with at least 1 year of recent NICU experience
• Valid U.S. Social Security Number required (Canadian SINs not accepted)
• No gaps in employment of 90+ days within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Preferred certifications include PALS, ACLS, NRP, and S.T.A.B.L.E.
• Black scrubs required
• Certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment unless documented renewal is scheduled
• Up to 5 days of requested time off (RTO) is permitted but must be made up during the assignment
• Candidates living within 50 miles of the facility are eligible but subject to a reduced bill rate
• Local candidates within 50 miles are limited to 3 consecutive 13-week contracts before a 1-year separation or relocation outside the 50-mile radius is required
