Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg position in Petoskey, MI, requiring 2+ years of straight Med/Surg experience and Level I or II trauma experience.

Details

• 28-bed Medical Surgical Unit in a hospital setting (Level 2 North)
• Diverse patient population including general surgery, vascular surgery, bariatric surgery, plastic surgery, trauma, and stroke patients
• Fast-paced environment serving as the hospital's designated stroke unit
• 12-hour day shifts, 36 hours per week
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call responsibilities
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active Michigan (MI) RN license required
• BLS certification (AHA) required
• Minimum 2 years of straight Med/Surg RN experience required — float pool, SDU, or telemetry experience does not qualify
• Level I or II trauma experience required
• Skills checklist completed within the past year required for consideration
• Full-time McLaren employees are not eligible for contract hire within six months of employment

• Strict attendance policy in effect: three instances of being absent or more than 20 minutes late to a scheduled shift may result in immediate termination; exceptions may be made for communicable illness or hospitalization with documentation
• No more than 5 days of RTO may be requested for the duration of the contract
• Candidates with a permanent address within 35 miles of the facility are considered local travelers and may be subject to a reduced travel pay rate
