Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) position at an acute care hospital, requiring ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications with night shift availability.

Details

Work in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) of a 255-bed acute care hospital
Adult patient population including cardiac, neuro, renal, infectious disease, and pulmonary cases
Patient ratio of 1:5
Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 6:30 PM – 7:15 AM
Every other Saturday required; Sundays off
Charting via Meditech

Requirements

Active RN license — Virginia (VA) state or Compact license required
Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
Permanent address must be 50+ miles from the facility to be eligible for this position

Additional Information

Responsibilities include coordination of direct patient care and patient education
Scrub color requirement: black or Caribbean blue
Free parking available in any unrestricted space
Local candidates are not accepted
