Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Progressive Care/Stepdown Unit (PCU) night shift position in Evansville, IN, requiring at least 1 year of experience and AHA BLS and ACLS certifications.

Details

• Works in a Stepdown Intermediate Care unit focused on Progressive Cardiac Care
• Patient population includes medical, cardiac, pre/post cardiovascular surgery, arrhythmia, heart failure, and stroke overflow patients
• 28-bed unit with a patient ratio of 1:4–5
• Night shift schedule: 18:45–07:15
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active RN license in Indiana or a Compact RN license currently in hand
• Nursys license verification required prior to start
• Current AHA BLS and AHA ACLS certifications required
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required (Group A updated yearly; Groups B–F updated every 2 years)
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
• Must possess a valid US Social Security Number and provide a US home address

Additional Information

• Provide nursing care to a complex cardiac and medical patient population including pre/post CV surgery and stroke overflow
• Copy of Driver's License and 2 professional references required for consideration
• Full SSN and full date of birth required for consideration
• Local candidates are eligible to apply; however, candidates residing within the facility's radius may be subject to a reduced pay rate
• COVID vaccination is not required
