Description
American Traveler is hiring a Vascular Interventional Radiology Technologist with 2+ years of experience for a 13-week day shift assignment in a Level I or II trauma hospital in Columbus, OH.
Details
- Interventional Radiology unit within an OR setting at an acute care hospital in Columbus, OH
- Department averages 20 patients per day with a 2:1 RT:RN ratio
- 2 endovascular suites plus open procedure ORs
- Common procedures include abdominal aortograms with runoff, fistulagrams, carotid angios, and EVARs
- Equipment includes fluoroscopy, CT, ultrasound, C-arm, Philips Epiq 7G, and Parks Flo-Lab 2100SX
- Epic/CareConnect EMR with PenVasc reporting software
- 5x8-hour day shifts, 6:45 AM – 3:15 PM
- Every other holiday required
- Call expectation includes approximately 1/4 of total call, including weekends
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of VIR experience required; candidates with 1+ year may be considered if they have Level I or Level II trauma experience
- HS diploma or GED required; must be a graduate of an accredited radiography program
- ARRT certification or current equivalent required
- Ohio Department of Health Radiologic License required (pending status accepted; typically obtained within 24–48 hours) — license required if applicable
- BLS certification required
- Proficiency with fluoroscopy, C-arm, CT, and ultrasound imaging equipment
- Experience scrubbing, monitoring, and circulating for minimally invasive, image-guided vascular procedures
- Candidates must reside more than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
Additional Information
- Assist the Interventional Radiologist as scrub tech, monitor, and circulator for image-guided vascular procedures
- Requires knowledge of and competency with fluoroscopy, CT, and ultrasound imaging systems
- Surgical scrubs are provided
- No more than 5 days of RTO will be approved for the duration of the contract
- First-time travelers will be considered provided they meet the experience and trauma requirements
