Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a 13-week LTC/SNF travel assignment in Luverne, MN, requiring charge nurse capability and PointClickCare experience.

Details

• Post-acute care setting in a long-term care/skilled nursing facility (LTC/SNF) with 51 beds
• Primary patient population consists of geriatric patients, commonly with dementia diagnoses
• Nurse-to-patient ratio is 2 nurses during day shifts and 1 nurse overnight
• Charting is done in PointClickCare (PCC)
• Shifts are primarily 12-hour but some 8-hour shifts are scheduled (days: 6am–6:30pm or 6am–2:30pm; nights: 6pm–6:30am or 2pm–10:30pm)
• Every other weekend is required
• Labor Day is required; every other holiday thereafter
• No on-call or call-back responsibilities

Requirements

• Active MN RN license required and must be in hand at time of consideration (pending licenses not accepted)
• Current BLS certification required (copies of active certifications required; pending certifications not accepted)
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required — no exceptions
• Charge nurse experience required
• Driver's license required for consideration
• 2 professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, each including dates of employment and eligibility for rehire

Additional Information

• Orientation consists of approximately 2 hours with the LEAD team followed by 1–2 floor shifts alongside existing staff
• Candidates living within 80 miles of the facility are considered local and are eligible at a different pay rate
• Local candidates are accepted for this position
