Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Medical ICU night shift position requiring at least 1 year of ICU experience and active IN or compact RN licensure.

Details

• 20-bed mixed ICU/Step-Down unit in a hospital setting
• Patient population includes severe respiratory failure (pneumonia, ARDS, COPD/asthma exacerbations), sepsis and septic shock, hemodynamic instability, neurologic conditions, complex metabolic and endocrine disorders, cardiac conditions, and GI/hepatic failure
• ICU nurse-to-patient ratio of 2:1; Step-Down ratio of 3:1
• Floating required to sister unit (5S) for Step-Down or progressive level patients at a 4:1 ratio
• Specialized procedures include mechanical ventilation, noninvasive ventilation, advanced oxygen therapies, arterial line management, vasopressor titration, NIH and TNK therapy, and enteral/parenteral nutrition
• Night shift: 18:00–06:30
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active IN RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
• Current BLS certification (AHA required)
• Current ACLS certification (AHA required)
• NIH Certification required
• Minimum 1 year of ICU experience required
• Full Social Security Number and US address required for consideration
• 2 professional references required
• Copy of Driver's License required for consideration

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include continuous cardiac and hemodynamic monitoring, managing invasive lines, titrating IV medications, and overseeing complex medication regimens and frequent lab monitoring
• Local candidates are welcome to apply; however, candidates residing within the facility's radius may be eligible for a reduced rate only
