Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Progressive Cardiac Care Unit day-shift position requiring at least 1 year of experience and BLS, ACLS, and NIH certifications.
Details
- Work in a 48-bed Progressive Cardiac Care Unit (PCCU) within a hospital setting
- Care for a highly acute cardiac progressive patient population including heart failure, ACS/AMI, STEMI, post cath, cardiac arrhythmias, pacemaker/defibrillator placement, pre-surgical (VAD, transplant, CABG), pulmonary HTN, and cardiac drips
- Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4 on days and nights
- Day shift schedule from 07:00-19:30
- 13-week assignment length
Requirements
- Active RN license (IN or Compact) currently in hand
- Current certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), both AHA
- Current NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
- Minimum 1 year of relevant nursing experience required
- Nursys license verification required within 30 days prior to start
- Primary source license/certificate verification required within 30 days prior to start

- Work as part of a Joint Commission Certified Advanced Heart Failure team in a fast-paced, specialized cardiac progressive care environment
- Opportunity to advance clinical knowledge in a highly specialized and mentoring environment
- Only one submission permitted per Ascension health system position
- Radius rule applies; local candidates may be considered at a reduced pay rate
- Must have a US Social Security Number and provide a US home address
