Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cardiothoracic Stepdown position with extensive surgical and telemetry experience, including prior VAD experience and certification required.
Details
- Cardiothoracic Stepdown unit in a hospital setting
- Patient population includes post open heart surgery, heart transplant, LVAD, leg bypass, rib resections, and pneumonectomy
- Night shift: 19:00–07:30
- 13-week assignment
Requirements
- Active Indiana RN license or Compact RN license currently in hand
- Current certifications required: BLS (AHA) and ACLS (AHA)
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
- Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
- Extensive experience with surgical patient populations and telemetry monitoring required
- Prior VAD experience and VAD certification required
- Must possess a US Social Security Number and provide a US home address

- Two professional references required for consideration
- Copy of Driver's License required for consideration
- COVID vaccination is not required
- Local candidates are accepted; candidates living within the state-specific radius may be eligible at a different pay rate
