Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Progressive Care/Stepdown Unit night shift position requiring cardiac monitoring and drip management experience.
Details
- Work in a 44-bed Medical Pulmonary Stepdown unit within a hospital setting
- Care for a medically complex patient population with all patients on bedside cardiac monitors
- Typical RN to patient ratio of 1:4
- Manage drips including heparin, insulin, cardizem, nicardipine, and dobutamine
- Night shift schedule from 19:00-07:30
- 36 hours per week with every other weekend required
- One major holiday coverage required per contract
- 13-week assignment length
Requirements
- Active RN license (IN or Compact) currently in hand
- Current certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), both must be AHA
- Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required
- Progressive care or stepdown unit experience preferred
- Nursys license verification required within 30 days prior to start
- Must possess a US Social Security Number and provide a US home address
Additional Information
- Provide bedside nursing care to medically complex stepdown patients requiring continuous cardiac monitoring
- Administer and monitor high-alert medication drips including cardiac and vasoactive agents
- Radius rules apply and may affect pay rate eligibility for candidates residing near the facility
