Description
American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab / EP Technologist for a pediatric cardiac cath lab at a Level I Trauma, Magnet-designated teaching hospital, with experience in pediatric cath procedures and on-call availability required.
Details
- Pediatric cardiac cath lab setting within a Level I Trauma Center, Magnet-designated teaching hospital
- 2-room cath lab with a pediatric-focused patient population; may also include IR cases
- Cases include pediatric/adult transplant R/L biopsy, balloon, stent, and valve placement procedures; IR experience preferred
- Day shift, 5x8 hours, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
- On-call required: approximately 8–10 call shifts per month, including weekend coverage
- Epic EMR; experience preferred
- Level I Trauma and EP experience preferred
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of cath lab experience required
- Pediatric cath lab experience required; Level I Trauma and EP experience preferred
- Current AHA BLS, ACLS, and PALS required — AHA certifications only
- CCI with RCIS or RCES preferred; ARRT (R) with SCRQSA (R) also acceptable
- Radiation monitoring badge required (provided by agency)
- SC license required if applicable
- SSN and Driver's License required for consideration
- 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration
- Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to qualify for the travel pay rate; local candidates may be considered on a case-by-case basis
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are accepted for this position, depending on qualifications
- Previous permanent or PRN staff at any MUSC location must have been separated from the system for at least 1 year before being eligible to work as a traveler
- All requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed upfront; approval is based on facility needs
- Orientation modules are completed prior to the start date
- Travelers are assigned to emergency response/storm teams; hurricane season runs June through November, with peak activity in August and September
- Parking is free on weekdays; a one-time $20 parking pass fee applies for nights and weekends
