Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Long Term Care position in Hawaii, requiring an active HI RN license and at least 1 year of LTC experience.
Details
- Long Term Care (LTC) facility located on the campus of a hospital
- 8-hour shifts on a varied schedule, including weekends and holidays
- Shift preference and schedule flexibility required — no shift preference is guaranteed
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active Hawaii (HI) RN license required by start of assignment — candidates without one must apply upon offer acceptance
- Current BLS/BCLS certification required
- Minimum 1 year of LTC nursing experience required
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include patient assessments, treatments, medication administration, provider notifications, admissions/discharges, and ADL assistance
- Specialized care duties include Gastrostomy Tube care, Urinary Catheter care, Nebulized Treatments, Wound VAC care, CPAP care, and Tracheostomy Care
- All travelers must report to Employee Health 48–72 hours prior to the start of assignment — this appointment takes place at the facility's Employee Health department and attendance is mandatory
- Travelers should plan to arrive in Hawaii the Thursday before their Monday start date in order to attend the Employee Health appointment on Friday morning
