Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg position working night shifts with a minimum of 2 years of experience and an active GA or compact RN license.
Details
- Med/Surg unit in a hospital setting
- Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
- Every other weekend required
- No on-call responsibilities
- Floating within the facility and scope of practice as needed
- 12-week contract
Requirements
- Active GA or compact RN license required at time of consideration
- Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg RN experience required
- Current certifications must be provided for consideration
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Local candidates are accepted
- RTO is capped at 7 days and may not be requested during the first week of the assignment
- Holiday coverage policy: if one or two major holidays fall within the assignment period, travelers are expected to work all of them; if three major holidays fall within the assignment period, travelers are expected to work two of them — Major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day
- No schedule change requests or alternate shift requests are permitted — the posted night shift is firm
- Travelers must have been away from all Piedmont facilities for at least one full year before returning as a traveler
- Full compliance with onboarding requirements is necessary to begin on time; late compliance may result in a two-week start delay due to a bi-weekly orientation schedule
