Description
American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with outpatient pulmonary experience and proficiency on the Vyaire PFT box for a day shift position at an outpatient pulmonary and sleep medicine clinic.
Details
- Outpatient pulmonary and sleep medicine clinic setting
- Adult patient population
- Average daily census of 50 patients with approximately 25 visits per day
- Performs pulmonary function testing including plethysmography, lung volume testing, spirometry, FeNO, and 6-minute walk tests with and without O2 titration using the Vyaire PFT box
- Epic EMR — experience required
- Day shift, 5x8-hour shifts, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
- No weekend, float, or on-call requirements
Requirements
- CRT or RRT credential required
- Active GA state respiratory therapy license required (license required if applicable)
- BLS certification required
- Minimum 2 years of experience; outpatient setting experience preferred
- Hands-on experience with the Vyaire PFT box required
- Epic EMR proficiency required
- First-time travelers are not accepted for this position
Additional Information
- Candidates undergo a clinical review process prior to manager consideration
- Scrub color: black or dark gray
- RTO maximum of 7 days for the assignment; RTO cannot be requested during the first week of the assignment
- If one or two major holidays fall within the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work those holidays with no holiday RTO permitted; if three major holidays fall within the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work two of them, with one holiday RTO request eligible for review
- Major holidays include: Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day
- Travelers must have been away from all facilities in this health system for at least one full year before returning as a traveler
- Local candidates are accepted
- No alternate shifts or special scheduling requests are permitted
- Two supervisory references (manager level or above) are highly preferred; charge nurse references are not accepted
- Copies of all certifications listed in the position description are required for consideration
