Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced ICU RN for a night shift travel contract requiring Impella and CRRT/NxStage experience along with Epic proficiency.
Details
- ICU setting within a hospital environment
- 1:2 patient ratio, which may flex to 1:3
- Nurses are responsible for all lab draws, EKGs, and line starts
- Equipment includes: Alaris IV Pumps, CADD PCA Pumps, Servo I Ventilators, Fresenius CRRT Dialysis Machines, Edwards Lifesciences Cardiac Monitors, Medtronic EVD Management Systems, Arctic Sun TMS, GE Monitors, Hill-Rom Beds, Pyxis Medication Stations, and Veratron Bladder Scanners
- Epic EMR experience required
- Night shift: 3x12-hour shifts, 19:00–07:30
- 4 weekend shifts required per 4-week schedule
- No on-call responsibilities
- Floating required to all ICUs and may include the ED or PACU to care for ICU-level patients; occasional float to MS/PCU units with a 1:4 ratio
Requirements
- Active LA or Compact RN license currently in hand
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, CPI, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
- Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required; CVICU experience highly preferred
- Impella experience required
- CRRT/NxStage experience required
- Epic EMR experience required
- Supervisor reference dated within the last 12 months required for consideration
- Copy of Driver's License required for consideration
- Any employment gaps of more than 30 days must be listed and explained
Additional Information
- CPI certification can be obtained at the facility for a $100 fee
- Nurses should be prepared to care for isolation patients, including potential COVID-19 cases; knowing your N95 mask size in advance is recommended
- Any former permanent employee of an LCMC facility must have been separated for at least 1 year to be eligible
- Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to qualify for travel pay rates
- RTO is limited to 5 days for the duration of the contract
