Description
American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with 2+ years of experience for a night shift position at a Level III Trauma Center and teaching hospital in a short-term acute care setting.
Details
- Short-term acute care hospital with 733 staffed beds, designated as a Level III Trauma Center and teaching hospital
- RRT unit serving both adult and pediatric patients in the ICU
- Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- Every other weekend required
- Floating within scope or between like units, including possible float to sister campus, is required
- No on-call requirement
- Charting system: Epic
- Block scheduling is not available
Requirements
- Current RRT credential required
- State or compact RRT license required; pending licensure not accepted — license required if applicable
- Minimum 2 years of respiratory therapy experience
- Comfort working with both adult and pediatric ICU patients required
- Epic EMR experience required
- SSN and date of birth required for consideration
Additional Information
- Scrub color requirement: solid black or black and white
- Holiday coverage is required; only 1 holiday off can be approved per contract
- Maximum of 4 days of RTO permitted per contract
- Any scheduled shift callouts may require a makeup shift at the department's discretion
- Pre-start online modules are required (estimated 4–10 hours) and must be completed before the assignment begins
- Candidates must have been away from this facility for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
- Night shift travelers may extend up to twice before being required to be away for 6 months prior to returning
- Candidates residing within 50 miles of the main campus are not eligible for this position
