Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU (CVPICU) position requiring cardiac ICU and pediatric experience with ECMO and CRRT exposure.
Details
- Inpatient pediatric hospital setting in a 32-bed Cardiovascular Pediatric ICU (CVPICU)
- Patient population includes post-op open heart cases, single ventricles, complex cardiac anatomy/physiology, heart transplant, and heart failure
- Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:2 with an average daily census of 21
- Specialized procedures include invasive cardiac monitoring (CVP, ART, RA, etc.), ECMO, CRRT, vasopressors, cardiac drips, and sedation drips
- Day shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active NE or Compact RN license required
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS
- Minimum 2 years of cardiac ICU experience required
- Pediatric experience required
- ECMO and CRRT exposure or experience preferred
Additional Information
- Candidates with primary PICU experience who floated to a Cardiac ICU should clearly document the frequency of that experience in their work history
