Description
American Traveler is seeking an MRI Technologist for a travel assignment at a prestigious Harvard Medical School teaching hospital and internationally recognized eye and ear specialty center within the Mass General Brigham health system.
Details
- Radiology MRI department within a specialty hospital internationally recognized for vision and hearing treatment and research
- Strong knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy, spine anatomy, neurovascular anatomy, and head and neck anatomy — including common head and neck diseases and their processes — is essential to daily imaging work
- 12-hour day shifts from 6:30 AM to 6:30 PM
- 13-week contract
- Epic used for charting
- Timekeeping via UKG/Kronos
Requirements
- Current BLS certification required (AHA only; Red Cross not accepted for this location)
- ARRT (MRI) certification or equivalent required
- Active MA license required at time of consideration; conditional or pending licenses are not accepted — license required if applicable
- No minimum years of experience specified
- 2 professional references required
Additional Information
- Perform MRI imaging safely and efficiently following established guidelines and protocols, with a focus on achieving the highest diagnostic imaging quality
- Works both independently and collaboratively with Radiologists, the Lead Imaging Specialist, Associate Director of Radiology, and fellow technologists
- Patient comfort and MRI safety are central responsibilities throughout the exam process
- Flu vaccine is required; no religious or medical exemptions are accepted
- No validated parking is available at Boston locations; public parking lots are available at a daily cost, and public transportation is recommended
- Candidates with a permanent residence within 60 miles of Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston are considered local and subject to a reduced pay rate
- First-time travelers will be considered, as no prior experience is required
- RTO requests must be disclosed at the time of consideration
