Description
American Traveler seeks a Speech-Language Pathologist for an Inpatient Rehab unit requiring hospital experience and BLS certification.
Details
- Inpatient Rehabilitation unit with 15 beds and a staff of approximately 20
- Day shift schedule, 5 eight-hour shifts per week, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
- Patient ratio of approximately 5 patients per clinician
- Uses basic lift equipment and standard therapy equipment
- Meditech EMR system
- May float to Acute Care Hospital areas as needed
- At least 2 weekend days per month required
Requirements
- Hospital experience required
- Inpatient rehab experience and CARE scoring experience preferred
- BLS certification required
- License required if applicable
- Performs evaluations, treatments, and Modified Barium Swallow (MBS) studies
Additional Information
- Works collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team including PT/PTA, OT/COTA, and rehab tech staff
- Energetic, team-oriented personality preferred
- Navy blue scrub attire required
- Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; no local candidates accepted

Only thing they will float travelers to antepartum or assign pp pts on hold in L&D unit more frequently instead of rotating the nurses.
