Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Operating Room position in Corpus Christi, TX, requiring at least 1 year of OR experience and a TX or compact RN license.
Details
- OR setting within a hospital surgical services department featuring 9 OR suites
- 1:1 patient ratio in the OR
- Surgical specialties include neurosurgery, urology, general surgery, colorectal, plastics, podiatry, ENT, and orthopedics
- Equipment used includes BrainLab, da Vinci robotic system, and surgical microscope
- EMR system is Meditech
- Monday–Friday, day shift schedule (6:30 AM – 3:00 PM)
- On-call is mandatory based on unit needs; weekday call runs 3:00 PM – 7:00 AM and weekend call runs 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active TX RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
- Current BLS certification (AHA or ARC accepted; must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start)
- Minimum 1 year of recent OR nursing experience required
- SSN and DOB required for consideration
- One professional reference required
- No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
Additional Information
- Hospital-provided scrubs required
- May be required to float to the Bay Area OR
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible
- Motivated, detail-oriented candidates are the ideal personality fit for this team
