Description
American Traveler is hiring a Pediatric MRI Technologist for a 13-week night shift contract at a Magnet-designated, Level 1 Trauma teaching hospital, with a minimum of 1 year of experience and ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT certification required.
Details
- Pediatric MRI unit within a large academic teaching hospital with Magnet status and Level 1 Trauma designation
- Patient population includes inpatient, ER, and outpatient pediatric cases
- Daily caseload varies based on unit needs
- Charting performed in Epic
- 4x10-hour night shifts, 8:00 PM – 6:30 AM
- Holiday coverage required when holidays fall on a scheduled shift
- Float within other buildings on campus is possible, as well as to sister facilities
- No on-call required
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of MRI technologist experience
- ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT certification required
- Current BLS certification (AHA only)
- Siemens MRI equipment experience required
- Level 1 Trauma experience preferred
- South Carolina license required if applicable
- SSN and Driver's License required for consideration
- 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are accepted for this position
- Candidates who were previously permanent staff or PRN at any MUSC location must have been separated from the system for at least 1 year before being eligible to work as a traveler
- Candidates living within 60 miles of the facility are considered local; non-local candidates are prioritized
- Local candidates may be considered on a case-by-case basis
- All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of consideration; approval is based on manager and unit needs
- Orientation modules are completed prior to the start date
- Teal top and black bottom scrubs required
- Parking is free on nights and weekends; a one-time $20 parking pass fee applies for daytime parking
- Travelers should be aware that during hurricane season (June–November), all staff and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams; peak hurricane months are August and September
