Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position at a critical access hospital, requiring dual competency in both ED and Med-Surg settings with a minimum of 2 years of experience.

Details

• Swing position at a critical access hospital, requiring work in both the Emergency Department and Medical-Surgical inpatient floor
• Schedule consists of two inpatient Med-Surg floor shifts and one ER night shift per week (3x12-hour nights, 18:00–06:30)
• Average daily census of 17–18 patients
• Every other weekend requirement
• On-call requirement of 2 shifts per month, covering days or nights for either the ED or Acute Care unit as needed
• Call hours run 05:00–19:00; if all staff are present by 19:00, the call shift ends
• No floating requirement outside of the described swing structure
• Medication management via Pyxis
• Documentation via T-System

Requirements

• Active CO or compact RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and ENPC
• Prior experience in both Emergency Department and Med-Surg settings required
• Critical access hospital experience strongly preferred
• Must reside within a 1-hour radius of the facility to meet on-call obligations
• 2 professional supervisory references from within the past 2 years required for consideration
• Full 7-year work history with all gaps explained required for consideration
