Description
American Traveler is hiring a MRI Technologist for a 13-week travel contract requiring ARRT (MR) certification and 5 years of acute care experience, preferably in a trauma setting.
Details
- Acute care hospital MRI department
- Patient population includes neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients
- Experience on a 3T MRI system is preferred
- 3x12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
- No weekend requirements
- No on-call requirements
Requirements
- Current ARRT (MR) and BLS certifications required
- CA state license required if applicable
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in acute care MRI, preferably in a trauma setting
- Experience operating 3T MRI systems preferred
- 2 supervisor references obtained within the past year required for consideration
- Copies of all certifications required for consideration
Additional Information
- Perform MRI examinations across a broad range of patient populations, including emergent, surgical, portable, and outpatient cases
- Responsibilities include reviewing completed images for quality, obtaining patient histories, and explaining procedures to patients
- Assists the department lead with equipment maintenance and QA/QC programs to meet regulatory and accreditation standards
- Serves as a department liaison and may oversee or provide training to other personnel
- Candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for the travel pay rate
- Former employees of this facility must have been gone for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
- Only 1 holiday off request will be approved during the contract
