Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a CVOR position requiring open heart and vascular surgical experience with weekend call responsibilities.
Details
- Hospital-based CVOR unit averaging 6 cases per day
- Case mix includes open heart surgery and vascular procedures
- Day shift hours: 06:30–14:30
- Weekday schedule with weekend call required
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active SC or Compact RN license required
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required (AHA only)
- Minimum 2 years of CVOR experience required
- Demonstrated confidence in open heart surgery and vascular cases required
- Proficiency with computer programs used in patient care delivery
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include circulating duties, prepping the OR, positioning patients on the operating table, and completing Safe Surgery checklist verification
- Serves as communication liaison between the surgical team and patient families
- Delegates and supervises activities of other team members while responding to urgent or emergent situations
- Responsible for assisting in the control and maintenance of supplies and equipment
- Must be willing to participate in scheduled on-call assignments
