Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg position on a 27-bed inpatient unit, requiring a minimum of 2 completed travel assignments and recent Level 1 or comparable Level 2 trauma experience.

Details

• 27-bed medical-surgical unit in an inpatient hospital setting
• Patient population ranges from adults (18+) to elderly, with common diagnoses including post-op ortho, general surgery, ETOH, CHF, and pneumonia
• RN-to-patient ratio of 5:1; LNA-to-patient ratio of 3:1
• 12-hour day shifts, 36 hours per week
• Every other weekend required
• Rotating holiday coverage required
• Epic EMR experience preferred
• Telemetry experience preferred

Requirements

• Active NH RN license or Compact RN license with proof of state residency required
• BLS required; ACLS preferred
• Minimum 2 years of equivalent Med/Surg RN experience required
• Minimum of 2 prior completed travel assignments required
• Recent Level 1 or comparable Level 2 trauma experience within the last 2 years required
• Proficiency with post-surgical drains, central line care/maintenance, and Foley insertion
• Experience with G tubes, J tubes, NG tubes, and PEG tubes required
• IV medication administration and IV push experience required
• Wound care and O2 therapy experience required
• 2 professional references from managers required for consideration

• Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
• Care is provided to a diverse medical-surgical population including post-operative and medically complex patients
