Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced Emergency Room RN for an 11-week travel contract in a rural, culturally rich community in Northwestern Arizona, requiring at least 3 years of experience and a flexible schedule across days, evenings, nights, and weekends.

- Emergency Room (ER) nursing position in a JCAHO-accredited hospital serving the Navajo, Hopi, and Southern Paiute communities across a 4,400 square mile service area
- Hospital serves as a regional referral center for the western Navajo and Hopi Reservations with a 73-bed capacity
- Provides comprehensive inpatient and outpatient emergency services in a rural setting
- Schedule is flexible across day, evening, and night shifts, including weekends
- 11-week contract, 36 hours per week
Requirements
- Active RN license from any U.S. state (AZ state license not required)
- Minimum 3 years of emergency room nursing experience
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS (all from AHA), TNCC, and ENPC
- NRP (AHA) required within 1 year of hire
- NIHSS certification required within 6 months of hire
- Emergency Severity Index Level 5 training required within 3 months of hire
- SSN required for consideration
Additional Information
- Provides nursing care to patients of all ages and their families, including support for complex and multi-specialty cases
- Medical staff includes a broad range of specialists: surgeons, internists, pediatricians, OB/GYN, ENT, orthopedics, urology, psychiatry, and more
- New employee orientation is held every 2 weeks
- Fingerprinting is required prior to start and is completed during the compliance process via mail
- COVID and flu vaccine exemptions may be accepted upon submission of a declination form
- Facility is located in a very rural area of Northwestern Arizona on the Colorado Plateau
- Limited on-site housing is available at $600/month (shared units, based on availability); a housing application must be submitted at least 2 weeks prior to start date
- Housing does not permit family members or pets
