Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift Emergency Department position at a Level III Trauma Center, requiring ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, and TNCC certifications.

• Acute care hospital Emergency Department setting
• Level III Trauma Center with a broad patient mix including trauma, cardiac, and neuro cases
• 30 private ER rooms, including a 6-room ED Observation Unit (EDOU)
• 6 fast track beds staffed with a PA for minor, non-urgent cases
• 1 seclusion room plus 5 additional monitored rooms
• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:3 or 1:4
• Averages approximately 100 patients seen per day
• Support staff includes 5 techs during peak hours
• Charting via Allscripts Sunrise EMR
• Medication administration via Omnicell system
• 12-hour night shifts, 3 shifts per week
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active AZ or Compact RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Emergency Department experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), NIHSS, PALS (AHA), and TNCC
• BSN not required

Additional Information

• Scrubs are not provided; any scrub color is acceptable except all black
• Orientation is 8 hours
