Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced OR RN for a night or day shift position requiring Epic proficiency, Trauma Level II experience, and on-call availability.
Details
- Work in the Operating Room of an acute care hospital setting
- Performs complex surgical cases including orthopedic trauma, craniotomy, and trauma procedures
- Trauma Level II facility
- Shifts available: nights (7:00 PM–7:00 AM) and days (7:30 AM–7:30 PM), 3x12-hour shifts per week
- On-call required: 2 weeknights every 6 weeks, plus one weekend (Saturday and Sunday, 12-hour shifts, days or nights) every month and a half
- Epic EMR experience required
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active OR RN license required
- Current BLS certification required; ACLS required; CNOR preferred
- Minimum 3 years of OR RN experience required
- Experience with orthopedic trauma, craniotomy, and trauma cases required
- Trauma Level II experience required
- Epic EMR proficiency required
- Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility — proof of address required for consideration
- Pending license accepted on a case-by-case basis
Additional Information
- First-time travelers with at least 3 years of OR experience are welcome to apply
- Local candidates are not accepted; a 75-mile radius rule applies
- RTO is limited to a maximum of 7 days for the duration of the 13-week assignment
- All time-off requests must be submitted at the time of initial application
- 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration
- Full 7-year work history with all gaps explained is required
