Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR RN for a 13-week travel assignment at an acute care hospital in Burbank, CA, with on-call requirements and Epic EMR experience.
Details
- Acute care hospital setting with 392 staffed beds
- Operating Room unit with 1:1 patient ratio
- Day shift, 5x8-hour shifts (6:30 AM - 3:00 PM)
- On-call required: 4-6 call shifts per 6-week period, including weekday calls from 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM and weekend calls from 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
- Weekend requirements limited to on-call shifts only
- Floating between like units within the state may be required
- Block scheduling available at manager's discretion
- Charting system: Mediteach; Epic experience required
- Free parking available on-site
Requirements
- Active CA RN license required at time of consideration (pending licenses not accepted)
- Minimum 2 years of OR nursing experience required
- Current BLS certification required
- Epic EMR experience required
- At least 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty or setting
- SSN and DOB required for consideration
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- All requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed at time of submission — post-offer RTO requests may be denied
- Scrubs of any color are accepted
- Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must not reside within 50 miles of the facility
- Travelers who refuse floating assignments may be subject to termination of assignment
