Description

American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab / EP Technologist with a minimum of 1 year of cath lab experience and proficiency in diagnostic, interventional, and structural cardiology procedures for a busy Level IV Trauma Center and major teaching hospital.

Details

  • Work in a high-volume cardiac cath lab at a Level IV Trauma Center and major teaching hospital (COTH member) with 838 staffed beds
  • Adult cardiology and structural cardiology patient population
  • Average daily census of 35–45 patients with a 1:1 staffing ratio
  • Procedures include LHC, RHC, PCI, CTO, Impella, IABP, ECMO, TPM, shockwave, IVUS, Penumbra, TAVR, Watchman, and mitral/tricuspid valve interventions
  • Equipment includes Siemens Artis Z & Q imaging systems, Impella, IABP, Philips Volcano IVUS, BSC IVUS, Abbott CTO, and Shockwave devices
  • Charting performed in Cerner EHR
  • 3x12-hour day shifts, 8:30 AM – 8:30 PM
  • One weekend rotation every 4–5 weeks (Friday evening through Monday AM)
  • Call requirements include 2 weekday nights per week (7:00 PM – 6:30 AM) and weekend call every 4–5 weeks (Friday 7:00 PM – Monday 6:30 AM); call teams rotate every 12 hours between primary and secondary call
  • Holiday call may be required if it falls within the scheduled rotation
  • No floating to sister facilities required

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year of cath lab experience with competency in all aspects of diagnostic, interventional, and structural cardiology procedures
  • Current BLS and ACLS required
  • ARRT(BD) and ARRT(R) certifications required
  • Active WV state license required to begin the assignment; candidates with a pending license may be considered but must have an active license in hand prior to start
  • RCIS or RCES credentials are not accepted for this position, as WV does not recognize them as licensed to practice in the cath lab
  • Cerner EHR experience preferred
  • Candidates must live more than 100 miles from the facility; candidates within 75–99 miles may be submitted for facility approval
  • Must be willing to stay until all cases are completed and maintain flexible scheduling
  • Two professional references required for consideration
  • PDF copies of driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration
  • License required if applicable

  • This is a busy lab — candidates must be comfortable with a fast-paced environment and high case volume
  • First-time travelers will not be considered; prior travel experience and full procedural competency in the cath lab are required
  • Scrubs are provided by the facility
  • Parking is complimentary for travelers
  • No RTO restrictions
