Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Medical Surgical/Inpatient Rehab position requiring med-surg and rehab experience with night shift availability.
Details
- 33-bed adult Med-Surg unit with no telemetry monitoring
- Patient population includes stroke (CVA), spinal cord injury (SCI), traumatic brain injury (TBI), amputee, and multi-trauma cases
- Patient ratio is 1:6, with potential flex to 1:7
- Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7p–7a
- Weekend requirement: every other weekend (EOW) or 6 weekend shifts per 6-week scheduling block
- One holiday shift required per 13-week contract
- Floating may be required to Med-Surg units at the neighboring hospital across the street (floors 11W, 10W, 9W, and 5W)
- Epic EMR experience preferred
Requirements
- Active Virginia state RN license or Compact RN license required; pending license accepted only for candidates holding a single-state license from a non-compact state
- Current BLS certification required
- Certified Rehabilitation Registered Nurse (CRRN) preferred
- Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) Blue certification highly preferred
- Experience in both Med-Surg and inpatient rehabilitation settings required
- Proficiency in peripheral line care/management, nasal cannula, non-invasive airway management, oxygen administration, and isolation precautions
- Valid driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration
- Two professional references required for consideration
