Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele night shift position in Ohio, requiring 2 years of RN experience and Epic proficiency.

Details

• Work in a 27-bed Urology unit (East Tower 3) within a large academic hospital system
• Patient population includes nephrology, urology (surgical and non-surgical), benign hematology, and general med/surg cases
• Estimated patient ratio of 1:4-5
• Schedule: 3x12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• No on-call requirements
• Floating to other units within the organization is required as needed
• Epic EMR experience is required

Requirements

• Active OH RN license or compact RN license (must be active at time of consideration)
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Proficiency in IV insertion, telemetry monitoring, and intermediate-level care skills required
• Epic EMR experience required
• 2 professional references required: at least 1 must be from a Manager, Director, or formal leadership role (e.g., Supervisor); a Charge RN is acceptable as a 2nd reference; co-worker references are not accepted

Additional Information

• Previous travel nursing experience is preferred
• Local candidates are accepted
• Former employees of the facility are eligible after a minimum 6-month separation
• All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of consideration and is limited to 7 days or fewer for the contract duration
• Ohio state fingerprinting is required and must be completed promptly upon booking — candidates outside Ohio may need to drive to an in-state fingerprinting location or will be mailed a fingerprinting packet to complete urgently
• On-site parking is available for agency staff through CampusParc, with multiple permit options ranging from a convenient medical center garage to budget-friendly surface lot access with shuttle service
