Description
American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with NICU and critical care experience for a 13-week night shift contract at an acute care hospital in Howard County, MD.
Details
- Respiratory Therapy department within an acute care hospital setting
- Covers Adult and NICU patient populations
- Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM (12-hour shifts)
- 36 hours per week, every other weekend
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active RRT credential required
- Active MD state license required (license required if applicable)
- BLS via AHA required
- ACLS preferred
- Minimum 2 years of experience, including critical care experience
- NICU experience required
- Comparable facility size experience required
- Completion of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program
- 1 professional reference required for consideration
- SSN and DOB required for consideration
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include direct patient respiratory care treatments and evaluation of patients with respiratory illness
- Duties encompass respiratory therapy in various critical care units, general respiratory care, adult and pediatric emergency room coverage, ventilator management, arterial blood gas (ABG) monitoring, CPAP/BiPAP, O2 therapy, chest physiotherapy (CPT), aerosolized medications, and CPR/code team participation
- Computerized documentation is utilized for charting
- Candidates must live more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
