Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Emergency Department RN for a night shift travel contract requiring an active MA RN license and ACLS, PALS, and BLS certifications.

Details

• Work setting is a hospital Emergency Department
• Patient population spans all age groups including pre-natal, neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric
• Responsibilities include triage, ongoing patient assessment, immediate interventions, and discharge teaching across urgent, critical, and non-urgent presentations
• Night shift schedule: 19:00–07:00
• Every other weekend required
• Charting performed in Epic
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active MA RN license required — no pending or conditional licenses accepted
• BLS certification required (AHA preferred; Red Cross accepted)
• ACLS certification required (AHA preferred; Red Cross accepted)
• PALS certification required (AHA preferred; Red Cross accepted)
• CPI or MOAB certification required (6-hour course with hands-on and de-escalation components; may be completed on-site within 30 days of start)
• Flu vaccine required — no religious or medical exemptions
• 2 professional references required for consideration
• Active MA RN license must be in hand at time of consideration — no pending licenses accepted

Additional Information

• Candidates with a permanent residence within 60 miles of Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston are considered local and will receive a reduced pay rate
• All certifications must be AHA-issued per facility policy for this location
• Timekeeping system: UKG/Kronos
• Parking is not validated at Boston-area locations; public parking is available nearby at candidate's expense
