Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Cardiac Med/Surg position in Peoria, IL, requiring a minimum of one year of nursing experience and Epic EMR proficiency.
Details
- Cardiac Med/Surg unit in an inpatient hospital setting
- Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM, 3 days per week (36 hours/week)
- Weekend rotation required
- Holiday rotation required
- May float to other facilities within the Carle Health system
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active Illinois RN license in good standing (temporary license accepted)
- Current BLS certification (American Heart Association)
- Minimum 1 year of relevant RN experience
- ASN required; BSN preferred
- Epic EMR experience required
- Lab specimen collection and bedside lab testing skills required
- Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include patient assessment, individualized care planning, interdisciplinary collaboration, documentation, and patient/family education
- Performs bedside lab testing and specimen collection in compliance with provider orders and hospital policies
- Utilizes communication and teamwork strategies to promote high team performance and optimal patient outcomes
- RTO not to exceed 7 total days per 13-week contract
- Candidates who have been on continuous assignment with Carle Health for 1 year must take a 6-month break before returning to any Carle Health location
