Description
American Traveler is seeking a Radiology Technologist (X-Ray) with a minimum of 2 years of experience for a 13-week acute care assignment, with proficiency in General X-Ray, Fluoroscopy, and OR imaging.
Details
- Acute care hospital radiology/X-ray department
- Department includes 4 general X-ray rooms (3 GE, 1 Shimadzu), 2 fluoroscopy rooms (GE), GE portables, and OEC C-Arms
- Department performs 80–100 studies in a 24-hour period
- Common imaging includes all general X-ray, fluoroscopy, OR, and ED studies
- Required to float between general X-ray, fluoroscopy, OR, ED, and portables
- EMR: Epic (required); PACS: Sectra
- Evening shift, 12-hour shifts from 10:30 PM to 11:00 PM, scheduled Monday–Tuesday and every other weekend
- Schedule may include a mix of 10-hour and 12-hour shifts for both days and nights; posted at least 2 weeks in advance
- Holiday coverage required if the scheduled day falls on a holiday
- Occasional on-call may be required with a 45-minute response time
- Radiologist on-site 24/7
- Supervised by both an imaging supervisor and shift/modality lead techs
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Radiology Technologist
- Active ARRT (R) certification required; pending certifications not accepted
- Current BLS required
- Must be able to perform all general X-ray, fluoroscopy, and OR exams
- Experience with Epic EMR and Sectra PACS
- Active state license required at time of consideration; pending licenses not accepted — license required if applicable
- A driver's license copy is required for consideration
- 2 professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, including dates of employment and eligibility for rehire
- Must own personal lead markers
- Radiation badge required prior to starting the assignment
Additional Information
- Perform general X-ray, fluoroscopy, OR, and ED imaging studies across multiple areas of the radiology department
- IV starting skills are a plus, though not required
- Department orientation is typically the first three days of the assignment
- Personal scrubs in any professional color are acceptable; hospital scrubs provided only for staff working in the OR
- Candidates who have been directly employed (full-time, part-time, or PRN) by any CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity Health facility within the past year are not eligible
