Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced ICU RN for a 13-week night shift travel contract at a Level I Trauma, Magnet-designated acute care hospital in Springfield, IL.
Details
- ICU position within a 562-bed Level I Trauma Center and Magnet-designated acute care hospital
- Primary trauma/burn ICU setting with medical and cardiac overflow patients
- Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (18:45–07:15)
- Every other weekend required
- On-call responsibilities are required
- Floating is required — travelers are first to float, with potential float destinations including Medical, Neuro, and Cardiac ICUs, as well as IMC and general floors on modified teams
- May also float to an affiliate hospital nearby
- Average daily census of 10 patients
- Charting via Cerner
- Parking permit required at no cost
Requirements
- Active IL RN license required — pending licenses are not accepted
- Minimum 1 year of ICU RN experience required
- Required certifications: BLS and ACLS (AHA or Red Cross accepted; RQI cards not accepted)
- Preferred certifications: NIHSS, TNCC, and TNS
- SSN and DOB required for consideration
- All required licenses and certifications must be active at time of consideration
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Local candidates are accepted with no radius restriction
- Any permanent or PRN employee of the Memorial Hospital System must have been separated for at least 12 months before applying as a traveler
- Travel pairs are not accepted
- RTO is limited to no more than 5 days; requests exceeding 5 days require facility approval
- Candidates must be available to work 2 out of 3 major holidays
- Scrub color: any solid color
