Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Step-Down Unit position requiring ICU experience, with floating responsibilities across multiple units in a 13-week contract.

Details

• 21-bed Step-Down Unit in a hospital setting
• Patient population includes NStemi, post-cardiac cath with intervention, vascular surgery (fem-pop, CEA), CIWA protocol with IVP Ativan, peritoneal dialysis, stable BiPAP, heated high-flow O2 (<80%), home ventilators (Trilogy), and wound care
• Non-titrating drips administered include Amiodarone, NTG, Cardizem, Lopressor, and Cardene
• Patient ratio of 1:4-5
• Floating required across Step-Down, ICU, and Med-Surg units
• EMR: Meditech
• Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00–19:00)
• Every other weekend (EOW) required

Requirements

• Active SC RN license or compact RN license (must be in hand at time of consideration)
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• ICU experience required in addition to Step-Down experience
• Travel nursing experience preferred
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility
• Two professional references required for consideration
• Valid driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration

Additional Information

• Orientation is held every Wednesday
• Hemodialysis is performed in the Dialysis Department (not bedside)
• Royal blue and white scrubs required
• 13-week contract
