Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg night shift position at a Level III Trauma Center in Gallatin, TN, requiring a minimum of 1 year of Med/Surg RN experience and an active TN or compact RN license.
Details
- Medical-Surgical Combination unit in a 167-bed, Level III Trauma Center hospital
- Adult and geriatric patient population
- Patient ratio of 6:1
- 12-bed unit
- Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
- Every other weekend requirement
- No on-call requirements
- May float to other Med/Surg units as needed
- EMR: Meditech
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active RN license valid in Tennessee (TN state license or compact) required
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) — AHA-issued certifications required
- Minimum 1 year of RN experience in Med/Surg required; 2+ years preferred
- Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration
- Must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible for travel rates
Additional Information
- Orientation is held weekly on Mondays
- Candidates must not have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
- Cannot be employed full-time elsewhere during this assignment
- All clinical staff must be checked against the Tennessee Abuse Registry prior to assignment start
- Any scrub color is acceptable; casual wear is not permitted
- Fully accredited by The Joint Commission
