Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Pediatric ICU position in Oklahoma City, OK, requiring at least 1 year of experience, Level 1 trauma experience, and AHA-issued BLS and PALS certifications.
Details
- Pediatric ICU setting within a hospital environment
- Night shift schedule, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours/week)
- 13-week contract
- CVICU and NICU experience is preferred
- Level 1 experience required
Requirements
- Active RN license (Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or eNLC compact license) currently in hand
- Current BLS and PALS certifications from the American Heart Association (AHA) required — AHA certifications only accepted
- Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
- ADN from an accredited program required; BSN or higher preferred
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
Additional Information
- Responsible for managing an assigned group of pediatric ICU patients, including monitoring physiological data, administering medications, and managing IV infusions and blood products
- Documents patient responses to nursing interventions and changes in physician orders
- Collaborates with physicians during examinations and minor diagnostic procedures
- Communicates care plans and hospital procedures to patients and families, including at time of discharge
- Delegates tasks to support staff as appropriate
- Candidates who have previously worked at this facility must have a 6-month separation period before being eligible for a new contract (extensions are permitted once, up to a total of 26 weeks)
- Compliance with onboarding requirements (drug screens, background checks, medical requirements) must begin immediately upon offer acceptance — the facility does not permit delayed start dates due to non-compliance
