Description
American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for a Level III/IV NICU night shift position requiring 2 years of NICU experience and RRT certification.
Details
- Level III/IV NICU setting within a teaching hospital
- Night shift, 4x12 hour shifts from 19:00 to 7:30
- Floating to different units required depending on assignment needs
- Utilizes ventilator management equipment including BiPAP, CPAP, and high frequency oscillator
- Performs neonatal/pediatric procedures including intubation assist, suctioning, and tracheostomy care/management
- Administers medications including Nitric Oxide (iNO) and various aerosol/nebulizer delivery systems
Requirements
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification
- BLS and NRP certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of Level III/IV NICU experience
- Teaching hospital experience required
- Prior travel experience required
- OH state license required if applicable
- Skilled in medication delivery systems, ventilator management, and neonatal/pediatric equipment and procedures
Additional Information
- Provide respiratory care to critically ill neonatal and pediatric patients in a Level III/IV NICU
- 2 professional references required, with at least one from a supervisor or manager
- Candidates who previously worked in a permanent role at this facility within the last 2 years are not eligible
- Local candidates are not accepted; a 60-mile radius rule applies
