Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a GI/Endoscopy position at an acute care hospital, requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience and an active SC or Compact RN license in hand prior to start.
Details
- Work setting is an acute care hospital (75 staffed beds) in the Endoscopy unit
- Patient ratios are 1:1 in the procedure suite; Pre-op and discharge areas are up to 4:1
- Day shift schedule: 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM (5x8-hour shifts)
- Every third weekend is required
- On-call is required; candidates must reside within 30 minutes of the facility to meet on-call response expectations
- Floating within scope to other like units or sister facilities may occasionally be required
- Charting is done via Epic
- Free parking is available with a pass distributed at orientation
Requirements
- Active SC RN license or Compact RN license must be in hand prior to start; candidates with a pending SC license may be considered
- Current AHA certifications required: BLS and ACLS
- Minimum 2 years of endoscopy RN experience required
- SSN and driver's license required for consideration
- 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration
Additional Information
- Navy blue scrubs are provided by the facility
- Pre-start online modules are required to be completed before the first day
- All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of consideration; approval is based on facility needs
- Candidates who have previously worked at any MUSC location as permanent or PRN staff must have been separated from the system for at least 1 year before being eligible
- Local candidates (within 60 miles of the facility) are accepted on a case-by-case basis; non-local candidates are prioritized
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Travelers should be aware that during hurricane season (June–November), all staff and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams; peak activity months are August and September
