Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a GI/Endoscopy position at an acute care hospital, requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience and an active SC or Compact RN license in hand prior to start.

Details

Work setting is an acute care hospital (75 staffed beds) in the Endoscopy unit
Patient ratios are 1:1 in the procedure suite; Pre-op and discharge areas are up to 4:1
Day shift schedule: 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM (5x8-hour shifts)
Every third weekend is required
On-call is required; candidates must reside within 30 minutes of the facility to meet on-call response expectations
Floating within scope to other like units or sister facilities may occasionally be required
Charting is done via Epic
Free parking is available with a pass distributed at orientation

Requirements

Active SC RN license or Compact RN license must be in hand prior to start; candidates with a pending SC license may be considered
Current AHA certifications required: BLS and ACLS
Minimum 2 years of endoscopy RN experience required
SSN and driver's license required for consideration
2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration

Additional Information

Navy blue scrubs are provided by the facility
Pre-start online modules are required to be completed before the first day
All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of consideration; approval is based on facility needs
Candidates who have previously worked at any MUSC location as permanent or PRN staff must have been separated from the system for at least 1 year before being eligible
Local candidates (within 60 miles of the facility) are accepted on a case-by-case basis; non-local candidates are prioritized
First-time travelers are welcome to apply
Travelers should be aware that during hurricane season (June–November), all staff and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams; peak activity months are August and September
