Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a GI/Endoscopy position at an acute care hospital in South Carolina, requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience and an active SC or Compact RN license in hand.
Details
- Work in the Endoscopy unit of a 75-bed acute care hospital
- Day shift schedule: 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM (5x8-hour shifts)
- Patient ratios: 1:1 in the procedure suite; up to 4:1 in pre-op and discharge areas
- Every third weekend required
- On-call is required for this position
- Floating within scope to meet facility needs is possible, though infrequent
- EMR: Epic
Requirements
- Active SC RN license or Compact RN license required; candidates with a pending SC license may be considered but must have the license active before starting
- Current AHA certifications required: BLS and ACLS
- Minimum 2 years of Endoscopy RN experience required
- SSN and Driver's License required for consideration
- 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration
- Must reside within 60 miles of the facility to be eligible for travel pay rates; local candidates within 60 miles are considered on a case-by-case basis
Additional Information
- Candidates must be able to remain within a 30-minute radius of the facility to respond to on-call needs
- Navy blue scrubs are provided by the facility
- Free parking is available with a pass distributed at pickup
- Orientation modules must be completed prior to the start date
- All requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed at time of consideration; approval is based on facility needs
- Previous permanent or PRN staff at any MUSC location must have been separated from the system for at least 1 year before being eligible to work as a traveler
- During hurricane season (June–November), all employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams; peak activity months are August and September
- First-time travelers are accepted for this position
