Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position requiring at least 1 year of clinical experience and an active NC or compact RN license.

Details

• 42-bed Med/Surg Telemetry unit in a hospital setting
• Patient population includes cardiac, diabetes, CHF, COPD, renal, general surgery, and orthopedics
• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:6
• Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• Weekends and holidays required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Floating to like or lesser acuity units required based on census
• May care for IMCU patients based on census needs
• Meditech EMR experience preferred
• Block scheduling requests cannot be accommodated

Requirements

• Active NC or compact RN license required and must be in hand at time of consideration — no license encumbrances accepted
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and CPI
• Minimum 1 year of clinical experience required
• Proficiency with insulin, heparin, and Lasix drips required
• Valid driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration
• Two professional references required for consideration

Additional Information

• Multidisciplinary team includes RNs, LPNs, PCTs, CNA/US, and unit secretaries
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible — local candidates are not accepted
• No RTO will be honored around the Fourth of July holiday
• RTO requests must be submitted upfront to be considered at time of offer
• 13-week assignment with a Monday start
