Description
American Traveler is hiring a Radiology Technologist (X-Ray) for an acute care hospital setting, requiring at least 2 years of experience and active ARRT certification.
Details
- Acute care hospital radiology department with 2 imaging rooms
- Common studies include brain, MRCP, abdominal, pelvic, and extremity imaging
- Average of 100 scans/studies per day
- Uses GE and Toshiba equipment, with Radnet and Merge Unity PACS systems
- Cerner EMR
- 3x12 hour day shifts, Saturday through Monday
- Every other weekend requirement
- Holiday coverage required for 1 major and 1 minor holiday
- Rotating on-call requirement with a 30-minute response time
- May be required to float to a sister facility approximately 6.5 miles away
- In-house radiologist on staff
- Supervised by a lead technologist
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of X-Ray/Radiology Technologist experience
- Active ARRT certification required — pending certifications not accepted
- Active BLS certification (AHA) required
- Active state or compact (NLC) license required if applicable — pending licenses not accepted
- Must provide a copy of driver's license for consideration
- 2 professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, including dates of employment and eligibility for rehire
Additional Information
- Perform general diagnostic imaging including brain, MRCP, abdominal, pelvic, and extremity studies
- Orientation is at least one week, conducted by the lead technologist
- Teal scrubs required
- Candidates must not have been directly employed (full-time, part-time, or PRN) by any CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity facility within the past year; candidates placed PRN through outside staffing firms will be considered
