Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg night shift position requiring a minimum of 2 years of acute care experience and an active Iowa or compact RN license.

Details

• Hospital Med/Surg unit setting
• Night shift schedule: Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday, 6:00 PM – 6:30 AM
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active IA RN license or compact license currently in hand
• Minimum 2 years of acute care experience required
• Current BLS (Healthcare Provider) certification required
• ACLS certification preferred
• Mandatory Abuse Reporter Certification required within 6 months of hire
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English proficiently

Additional Information

• Provides direct patient care under limited supervision for Med/Surg patients
• Responsible for planning, organizing, and directing nursing functions including medication administration, IV therapy, and care plan development
• Communicates patient needs and updates to physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary staff
• Documents patient records accurately, concisely, and in a timely manner
• Supports infection control policies and participates in staff orientation and in-services
• Expected to work rotating weekends and holidays as scheduled
